The Pee Dee Indian Tribe is one of the oldest tribes in South Carolina and at one time, one of the largest Native American Tribes in South Carolina. Today we are proud to represent all that our native heritage has left us: a rich culture, a large family, and a beautiful land.
South Carolina State Recognized Tribe
The Tribe was chartered November 29, 1976 as an Indian Tribe. It took 29 years and 9 months to receive this long awaited recognition.
On August 29, 2006 a Certificate of Recognition was awarded to The Pee Dee Indian Tribe of SC.
